Set in a small hamlet between liddington castle and Barbury Castle ( ancient hill forts ) along the Marlborough downs and was a large military base in WW2 , the parade ground still visible and a few remains of buildings . Montgomery visited just prior to D Day.
The kitchen itself consisting of mainly pine, MDF ,some varnished some painted in very dark green .the client requested it needs modernising .
After the usual preparation consisting of cleaning steaming, sanding, filling & dismantling it was time to arrange the paint, lime white from the Farrow & Ball colour chart mixed to the equivalent of the unbeatable duo of Otex Primer and Empire top coats from Holman Specialist Paints ( Tikkurila).
Also the legs and frame of the large oak kitchen table were painted.
End result : are you happy with the completed kitchen? I asked.
Mark you have exceeded our expectations, fantastic & thank you.
That said it all for me.
I also have some furniture to pick up from the same client when ” Mark Nash & Sons, Hand Painted Furniture ” shop opens in the next few weeks.
Exciting times.
